Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues.

You learn a 5-step action plan to support someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.

At Hall-Myers Consulting, we train leaders including executives, managers, supervisors, as well as team members to identify, understand, and respond to employees who may experience a mental health challenge or addiction. These issues impact an organization’s bottom line, and negatively affect employee’s productivity and work relations.

Research indicates that 1 in 5 people experience a mental illness and 1 in 10 employees experience an addiction. It is reported that 40% of employees with a mental illness miss about 10 work days a year due to their illness. Additionally, many employees don’t feel supported by their employer.

Get the training you need to support your employees and improve your bottom line. As an added bonus, you will benefit personally from participating in the training and may also find it useful when interacting with family and others in the community. The training can become a part of your organization’s leadership development program, wellness program, or general human resource training.
